Finally, a Caspian Opening to the East: Baku's New Port to India and China
Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m.
(reception at 5 p.m. with Georgian wine, followed by the main program at 5:30)
Development of the new Alat port facility near Baku shows increased regional leadership and initiative. Our speakers will focus on the growing potential of Asia-Europe trade, and the role the new port will play in facilitating trans-Caspian trade. The project develops critical infrastructure that connects Afghanistan, China, and large Asian producers from the Indian sub-continent with European markets.
